Dum Pukht Grill & Curry

Dum Pukht Grill & Curry Restaurant

Overview

Dum Pukht Grill & Curry, nestled in the heart of Singapore at 67 Boat Quay, is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Known for its flavorful Indian dishes, this restaurant brings a blend of traditional and contemporary tastes to the vibrant food scene in Singapore. As soon as you walk through the door, you’re greeted by an inviting atmosphere, which sets the tone for a memorable meal.

The menu at Dum Pukht Grill & Curry is a delightful journey through India’s rich culinary history. Their signature dishes, inspired by ancient Mughlai cooking techniques, offer a unique experience that’s hard to find elsewhere in Singapore. The restaurant is particularly famous for its slow-cooked, aromatic curries, where spices are carefully layered to bring out deep, rich flavors. For those who enjoy grilled meats, the tandoori items are a must-try, each dish perfectly charred and infused with spices that create a tantalizing smoky flavor.

One of the standout dishes here is the Dum Pukht Biryani, a fragrant rice dish that’s loaded with tender marinated meat or vegetables. The biryani is prepared using the "dum" method, where the ingredients are sealed in a pot and cooked slowly, allowing the flavors to meld together beautifully. It’s a dish that exemplifies the art of slow cooking, with every bite showcasing the depth of flavor that makes this restaurant so special.

The ambiance at Dum Pukht Grill & Curry is another factor that sets it apart. With its rustic, yet modern interior, it offers the perfect setting for a relaxing dinner with friends, family, or a romantic evening out. The friendly and attentive staff add to the experience, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of.

For those who prefer a vegetarian menu, Dum Pukht Grill & Curry offers a variety of options that cater to all tastes. From flavorful paneer dishes to a range of dal (lentil) options, vegetarians can enjoy a satisfying meal that doesn’t compromise on taste or creativity. The Palak Paneer is particularly worth mentioning, with its rich spinach gravy perfectly complementing the soft, fresh paneer cubes.

The dessert menu is just as impressive as the savory dishes. A standout is the Gulab Jamun, soft, syrup-soaked dough balls that melt in your mouth. It’s the perfect way to end a flavorful meal, and the rich sweetness pairs wonderfully with the spiced heat of the curry.

What truly makes Dum Pukht Grill & Curry a unique dining experience is the consistent focus on quality ingredients and traditional preparation methods. The chefs here take pride in crafting each dish with care, ensuring that every plate is a reflection of India’s diverse culinary traditions. This commitment to authenticity, combined with a modern twist, makes Dum Pukht Grill & Curry a standout restaurant in Singapore.

Whether you’re a fan of hearty curries, delicate grilled meats, or refreshing vegetarian dishes, Dum Pukht Grill & Curry has something to offer. It’s not just a place to eat; it’s a place to indulge in a culinary experience that transports you straight to the heart of India.

Next level taste sensation! This was the best food by far I have had in Singapore. Delicious happy hour cocktails. Friendly staff. Amazing location. I highly recommend. I had the tikka fish and a spicy veg dish

Just walked in on Saturday evening and were lucky to get a waterside table with amazing view ! The owners attended personally , very humble and honest and helped with recommendations! The service was good and the Fish Tikka starter as well as Bengali Fish Kalia ( Fish with gravy) was delicious! The portions are big and good for sharing . Overall a great experience specially if you manage to get a waterside table to enjoy the spectacular view from Boat Quay to the MBS skyline & Asian civilization museum in the backdrop .

The view is amazing! Love it here, very calming in my opinion. The chicken tikka masala appeared small at first, but was packed densely and filling. Deliciously spicy, but not unbearable by any means. Service was fairly quick and considerate. The fried ice cream was also great!
